A charismatic three-piece consisting of lead man Alex Aikiu, Julien Vichnievsky and Cedric Pilooski (D*I*R*T*Y), The Aikiu feels like the late 70's, early 80's night life of New York City -- which has been the very foundation upon whence this band has flourished from. When to celebrate sound and vision, much in the vain that Grace Jones, Roxy Music, David Bowie, Eno, early ("Jellybean") Madonna and Giorgio Moroder did, is to embrace that flamboyancy, hedonism and celebration of art, sex and self in music. With a victoriously soulful and gender-bending, early 80's diva-esque voice alongside the bands' raunchy and robust studio production and live set likened to Soulwax and LCD Soundsystem, the sky certainly seems limitless for this newborn Parisian pop collective who recently released debut EP 'Just Can't Sleep' through Abracadabra Records.

Brooklyn based five-piece whose music incites a complete aural experience. Indefinite and obtuse, their instrumentation is both complex and visceral, layering piercing guitars with heavy bass lines and resonant vocal textures that cascade into a washy gaze of percussion loops, synthesizers and programmed tones. ArpLine plays music that is both transfixing and poignant, lifting the veil of regularity so aptly found in many of their contemporaries. Recently playing a slew of Summer shows including a sold out performance with School of Seven Bells and Jelly NYC Pool Party with Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, ArpLine are set to release debut LP 'Travel Book' in early 2011, co-produced by Chris Coady (Beach House, Delorean, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV On The Radio, Grizzly Bear).Watch 'Weekend In The Colonies' Live Studio Performance Here.

Its been a busy year indeed for British sensation Dan Black - playing a selection of shows across the US (including a slot on the famed All Hearts Tour with Robyn and Kelis) in support of his debut LP ((un)) released earlier this year with The Hours, be sure to catch Dan Black's headlining gig next week.

Fenech-Soler is a British electropop band from Kings Cliffe, England. Having completed collaborations with pop-tastic acts such as Marina & The Diamonds and Groove Armada (featuring lead man Ben Duffy's vocals on 'Paper Romance'), Fenech-Soler have stolen hearts across Europe, especially with a certain BBC tastemaker Annie Mac who premiered the bands' minimix on her Radio 1 slot. A band who have overcome everything to be here, and have done so in their own way, they have honed and shined their sparkling songs, entirely by themselves, in their tiny bedrooms. They have taken their dreams to the disco and the Radio 1 playlist on their own terms. They even captivated legendary bands and DJs long before the record companies came knocking. Now signed to B-Unique, their debut album is here to lift and inspire us in the final days of summer, to spin its golden web of sound, to hold us in its glittering threads. Keep watch for the bands' debut US full length announced soon.Watch 'Stop And Stare' Video Here.

Parallels is an electronic-pop duo consisting of Cameron Findlay (former drummer of Crystal Castles) and honey-haired front girl Holly Dodson, whose vocals combine the intense balladry of Kate Bush with the sweetness of Kylie Minogue and Madonna's true-blue era. Using a collection of vintage synthesizers and uptempo HI-NRG rhythm patterns, Parallels has been likened to the classic pop sentiments of Giorgio Moroder, New Order and Depeche Mode. Parallels have shared the stage with internationally-acclaimed artists such as Florence and the Machine, The Juan MacLean, Sebastian Tellier, Crystal Castles, Midnight Juggernauts, A-Trak, Broken Social Scene and Miami Horror. Creating quite a stir with their various collaborations, including an official remix for English indie quartet Delphic's track 'This Momentary,' Parallels have indeed been taking the world by storm. Track 'Find The Fire' off their debut LP Visionaries was recently featured on the Kitsune Maison Compilation 8. Parallels will be releasing a deluxe edition of debut full-length Visionaries October 26 through Marigold Records.Watch 'Ultralight' Video Here.

Penguin Prison’s irresistibly quirky sound resides somewhere between the likes of Hot Chip, Hall and Oates, Ultravox, Wham and the Jackson 5. Born and raised in Manhattan, the mecca of musical endeavors, Chris Glover aka Penguin Prison has never been short of inspiration. Raised on a healthy diet of Michael Jackson, Prince, A Tribe Called Quest, Nat King Cole, Nirvana and Weezer, he soon began to channel such influences, and feeding them into his own musical meanderings, that led him toward a sound that combines classic influences of pop, soul and rock and roll. With remixes of Marina & the Diamonds 'I Am Not A Robot,' Erik Hassle's 'Hurtful' and Golden Silvers' 'True Romance,' Penguin Prison tours this month with Two Door Cinema Club and a recent one-off show in NYC with Ellie Goulding.

A relentless music force from down under, this five-piece has already won the hearts of indie heroes like a certain Thurston Moore which yielded a collaboration with former Sonic Youth producer John Agnello for their forthcoming LP. Their music is a heaving experience of heavy dream pop through shifting frames of multi-instrumentation. The music is replete with diverse elements such as live video game tweaks, percussive sandpaper, echoing handclaps, marimba, sampled rhythmic scenes and sweet, complex harmonies. Recently wrapping up a US tour with The Charlatans (UK), Sherlock's Daughter has shared the stage with acts like The Temper Trap, Freelance Whales, School of Seven Bells and Warpaint and done collaborations with Mark Ronson.Watch 'Song For Old People' Video Here.
